GASP
Group Against Smog and Pollution (GASP) is a non-profit citizens' group in
Southwestern Pennsylvania working for a healthy, sustainable environment.
Founded in 1969, GASP has been a diligent watchdog, educator, litigator, and
policy-maker on many environmental issues, with a focus on air quality in the
Pittsburgh region.

Clean Water Action
Since starting work in Pennsylvania in 1983, CWA has emerged as a major force
in environmental work in the state as a champion for children against exposure
to toxic chemicals, a leader in the fight for environmental justice, and a
key voice for the protection of Pennsylvania's natural resources.

The Hays Woods Project
The Hays Woods Project is a component of the STUDIO for Creative Inquiry at Carnegie Mellon University. Using the study of the Pittsburgh Palisades Project as a platform of inquiry, The Hays Woods project seeks to examine:
- The value of the natural world in the urban environment
- The methods in which art can be used to effect social, environmental and political change
- How educational methods can be used to effect social, environmental and political systems
